ABOUT DAVID P. AVILA
Mr. Avila has over 19 years of experience working with both employers and employees. Prior to starting David P. Avila, PC, he worked for over 12 years as a federal trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice. He was hired through the exclusive Attorney General's Honor Program. There he held a Top-Secret security clearance, prosecuted violations of federal employment and anti-discrimination laws, tried al-Qaida members and enemy combatants in federal court, and conducted hundreds of workplace investigations.
After leaving federal service, Mr. Avila represented Los Angeles area employers for a California employment law firm. He conducted and directed internal investigations, advised clients on complex and high-risk employee relations issues, and represented employers in arbitration and before state and federal government agencies and courts.
Mr. Avila is a California native from Santa Barbara. He graduated from the Cate School, Dartmouth College, and the University of Michigan Law School. After law school, Mr. Avila clerked for Justice Frank Sullivan, Jr. of the Indiana Supreme Court. He looks forward to bringing his many years of experience to work for you and your organization.
